Church on the Couch

Church on the Couch is a small study and discussion group in Belleville, ON started by Jennifer.
Sessions take place at Jennifer's home on Sunday evenings from 7:00 - 8:30pm.

It is with some regret that I will be putting Church on the Couch on hiatus at least until the fall.  Glenn has taken a new job that requires him to be away from home most of the week.  We are going to have so few evenings together that to give up another one is pretty hard.  I was planning on putting it on hold for the summer anyway as people are so often busy and away.

Thank you so much to everyone for your enthusiasm and support.  I hope to see you on the couch again in September, if family commitments permit.

I will keep the Facebook page up and running for any updates or special events.

You can for the address and more details.  Or click the photo to link to the Church on the Couch Facebook page.

So what's this Church on the Couch thing all about?

I'm on a journey toward ordained ministry. It's been a long one so far, with many twists and turns. Currently my divinity studies are on hold until I go back to school and finish my B.A. While I'm in this hiatus I've been fortunate enough to have spent the last year supply preaching at churches who had recently lost their ministers due to retirement or a change of employment. I love preaching. It comes naturally (although not always easily - just ask my husband, Glenn) and now that I'm not doing it on a regular basis, I miss it. I also miss connecting with the people at the end of the service as I shake hands on their way out. So I've decided to start my own church! Read all about it!
